Pharaohs loved the Pygmies for their dancing abilities

Pharaohs loved the Pygmies for their dancing abilities

Pygmies were loved by Pharaohs for their dancing abilities. They had a dance for different situations the gods, war, etc

In the reign of King Assa, a high official called Ba-ur-tet brought to the King a Tenk (or Pygmy) who knew how to dance, “the dance of the Gods” He is said to have come from “the Land of Spirits”
The King was very pleased to get a hold of a dancing Pygmy, who could dance for Osiris. Theres many inscriptions of Pharaohs learning how to dance for Osiris to please him, and Pharaohs learned how to dance from Pygmies to please Osiris in the afterlife.
One other thing to note is that Pygmies are the true Indigenous to The Americas. So could the Native American Indians have taken their multiple dances from the Pygmies? hmmm
